Stanley was born on February 15, 1941 in Wichita Falls, Texas to the late Stanley and Marie Lancaster. He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era. Stanley spent most of his working career as an over the road truck driver eventually becoming an owner/operator. He enjoyed the outdoors. Camping and riding motorcycles were two of his favorite pastimes. Stanley was a long time member of the American Legion and the Brothers of the Third Wheel Trike Association. In addition to his parents, his wife, Iva Lee Lancaster preceded him in death.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Walter and Tina Lancaster of Augusta; three daughters and one son-in-law, Laura Andrews and Diane Cash both of Augusta and Amber and James Erickson of Screven, GA; nine grandchildren, Tabitha Bowman, Crystal Lancaster, Kim Cosnahan, Crystal Andrews, Jonathan Cash, Alan Carlson, Alisha Mattox, Kassandra Lancaster and Chelsey Erickson. Eleven great grandchildren also survive.
The family would like to express special thanks to his youngest daughter, Amber Erickson, her husband, James, and their immediate family members for the loving care they gave Stanley during the last few years of his life. Also, thanks to Hospice of South Georgia for the attention and care given during his last days.
