Sharon Garcia

Sharon Garcia, 63, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at Altamaha Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Jesup, Georgia under the care of Hospice of South Georgia.

A resident of Jesup, Georgia for the past twenty-seven years, Sharon was born on January 8, 1961 in Chicago, Illinois.  She worked in the foodservice industry for many years at McDonalds, Taco Bell, Krystal’s and Hardee’s, where she advanced herself to the position of manager.  Sharon loved animals, especially dogs and also enjoyed working crossword puzzles in her spare time.  She always kept in close contact with her family to make sure things were being taken care of as they should be.  Her husband, Dwaine Adams; her brother, Henry Garcia and her grandson, Joshua Coleman, Jr. all preceded her in death.

Survivors include her five children, Nicole Garcia Pascual and husband, Arturo of Chicago, Illinois, Nicholas Garcia of Chicago, Illinois, Frank Garcia of Brunswick, Georgia, John Garcia of Jesup, Georgia and Tina Wilkins and husband, Brandon of Jesup, Georgia; parents, Salvador Garcia and Amelia Pedroza Garcia both of Chicago, Illinois; five siblings, Laura, Salvador, Norma, Lisa and Rita Garcia all of Chicago, Illinois; grandchildren, Victoria Pascual, Jonathan Worth, Shaylynn Waher, Destiny Garcia, Elizabeth Garcia, Jeremiah Garcia, Olivia Garcia, Jessiah Wilkins, A’lyric Wilkins and Jada Wilkins and great grandchildren, Catalina, Josephine and Hope Ivy.  A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and fur babies also survive.   

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Howard & Jones Funeral Home in Jesup, Georgia.

Private graveside services for her immediate family will be held in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Chicago, Illinois.
