Joan Milleson, 79, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Hospice of South Georgia after a lengthy illness.
Joan was born January 8, 1945 in Hartford, Connecticut to the late John and Edna Kimball Masiker. She lived most of her life in Jacksonville, Florida before relocating to Hortense, Georgia in 2007. Joan worked for many years as a secretary and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and tending to her plants in her free time. She loved the Lord and was an avid dog lover who enjoyed living her life to the fullest at all times. In addition to her parents, her two sisters, Betty Evans and Marsha Hunt and her grandson, Michael Baird all preceded her in death.
Survivors include her two daughters, Sheryl Trammell and husband, James of Hortense and Frances Thompson of Jacksonville, Florida; grandchildren, David Thompson and wife, Cagney, Travis Trammell and wife, Kimberly, Nicole Trammell, Carrie Trammell and Miranda Graham and great grandchildren, David, Jr., Austin and Lily. Numerous extended family members also survive.
Private memorial services will be held.
