Earline was born on January 3, 1941 in Wayne County to the late Alex and Annie Fultz Mae. She spent her early years in Odum and lived in Waycross for a short time before moving to Brunswick. She spent most of her life in Brunswick before moving back to Wayne County in 1989. Earline’s work ethic was unmatched. As a child, she worked on her family’s cotton farm and as an adult she worked in Seafood Sales for many years. In her later years, when she wasn’t working, Earline devoted herself to her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. Earline enjoyed yard sales and bowling and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her two husbands, Clifford Knight and Jack Pollard; six brothers, Willard, Johnny, Alex, Jr., Harold, Alvin and Arvil May and her sister Wilene Long.
She is survived by one daughter, Tammy L. Overstreet of Jesup, one son, Ervin S. Pollard of Waycross, four brothers and their spouses, Bobby May of Daisy, GA, David and Lois May of Kentucky, Clanton “Buddy” and Ann May of South Carolina and Genell and Lisa May of Virginia; four sisters and their spouses, Carolyn and Gene Craven of Brunswick, Leatha Scott of Daisy, GA, Joyce Cook of Ludowici and Lois Hewitt and husband, Jim Autry of Jesup; grandchildren and their spouses, Thomas W. McGee, Taylor and Charity McGee and Amber and Abbie Altman all of Jesup and one great granddaughter, Madelynn Rose McGee. A host of nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Bethlehem Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
