Luis Antonio Perez-Alcaide

Luis Antonio Perez-Alcaide, 65, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at Select Specialty Hospital in Savannah, Georgia, with his loving wife by his side.

Luis was born on June 24, 1960, in Manhattan, New York and in 1989, he made Jesup his home. A proud United States Army veteran, Luis carried himself with strength and dedication. He found joy in playing golf, taking peaceful rides in the country, and most of all, spending time with his family and his beloved animals.

Luis was preceded in death by his father, Luis Mario Perez; and special aunt, Aida Alcaide.

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Brenda Perez; daughters, Elimaida Perez of Philadelphia and Emileida Perez of Florida; son, Jimmy Spoon of Jesup; grandchildren, Austin Spoon of Texas, Dylan Spoon (Mallory Crosby) of Jesup, and Abbie Wells Spoon of Maryland; mother, Gladys Alcaide of Puerto Rico; brother, Elvin Aguilar of Florida; sister, Lily Aguilar of Puerto Rico; as well as numerous extended family members and dear friends who will miss him greatly.

The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
