Manners_RobertRobert Charles “Bob” Manners, 81, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at his home in Pelion, South Carolina.

Bob was born on June 8, 1932 in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. In his younger years, Bob served his country in the United States Army and was a coal miner.  Later, he owned and operated an Auto Sales and Repair business for over fifty-five years until his retirement.  Bob attended Victory Fellowship in Lexington, South Carolina and Hortense Church of God of Prophecy.  Bob was young at heart and enjoyed life to the fullest.  When he wasn’t shopping, he spent his spare time fishing, boating and watching NASCAR. Bob’s favorite pastime was spoiling his Grandchildren, a hobby that he truly loved and had great passion for.

 He is survived by his wife, Frances Keen of Pelion, South Carolina; five sons, Doug Manners and wife, Crystal of Yulee, FL, Brian Manners and wife, Heather of Eustis, FL, Mike Grayson of Odum, Kenneth Grayson of McComb, MS and Danny Grayson and wife, Lynn of Buras, LA; three daughters, Jennie Marie Manners of DuBois, PA, April Brazzell and husband, D.J. of Pelion, SC and Rosie Jo May of Claxton; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack and JoAnn Manners of DuBois, PA and Bill and Ethel Pyles of Punxsutawney, PA and two sisters, Betty Gigliotti and husband, Francis of Punxsutawney, PA and Karen Kastelic of Indiana, PA.  Several grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews also survive.

 Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Howard & Jones Funeral Home with Reverend Ricky Knox officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

 Burial will be private.
