Mrs. Mouchette who was known as Ophelia or “Phobie” by her friends was born in Coffee County, Georgia on April 17, 1921 to the late Jesse Carver and Abbie King Carver. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mouchette was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Mouchette, seven brothers and seven sisters.
She is survived by one daughter, Charlotte M. Lyons (Charles) and two grandchildren, Charlie Lyons (Deidra) and Cami L. Aspinwall (Randy) and five grandchildren, Cal, Chelsea and Chloe Lyons and Barrett and Callie Ann Miller all of Jesup.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, Dorcas Sunday School Class and XYZ for seniors all of which she attended faithfully as long as she was able.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 17, 2013 in the James R. Gordon Memorial Chapel of Howard & Jones Funeral Home with Reverends Michael VonMoss and Stanley Todd officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Interment will be in RestlawnMemorial Park in Jacksonville, Florida.
