She was born in Odum, Georgia and lived in Wayne County all of her life. She was a retired Information Technologist from ITT Rayonier of Jesup where she specialized in backing up computer programs. She was a member of the Odum United Methodist Church and she loved sewing, crocheting and working with crafts. She also had interests in genealogy and family ancestry. She was a 1960 Odum High Graduate, graduating with a 96.1 scholastic average for her four years of high school. She represented Odum High at district meets in tennis, was an active member of the basketball squad and member of the business club, beta club, F.H.A. club and student council.
Her parents, Leonard Watson Ogden and Irene Pearl Aspinwall Ogden of Odum, and sibling Leonard Vernon Ogden of Odum preceded her in death.
Survivors are her son and daughter-in-law, Ricky E. Pierce and Tammy Brown Pierce of Patterson; brother W.H. Ogden and Judy Ogden of Odum, brother Gary Willie Ogden of Odum, one sister, Irene O. Clary and Bob Clary of Stillwater, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Draven L. Pierce of Odum and Shannon Dowling of Macclenny, Florida, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many email friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, September 15 at 10:00 A.M. from the Odum United Methodist Church with Rev. Patrick Brannen officiating.
Active pallbearers will be Ricky Aspinwall, Phil Aspinwall, Mike Manners, Jack Daniels, Stevie Morris, Glynn Horton, Howell Clements and Johnny Shuptrine.
Burial will follow in the Aspinwall cemetery in Odum.
Visitation will be Friday, September 14 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
