Joyce G. Aspinwall, 85, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2018 at home under the care of Hospice of South Georgia.

Joyce was born on June 30, 1933 in Pierce County to the late Owen and Janie Arnette Johnson. She was a homemaker and owner of Joyce’s Florist for over thirty-five years. Joyce truly loved flowers and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Screven and a former member of the Screven Garden Club.

In addition to her parents, her husband of sixty-one years, Clyde H. Aspinwall, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her two sons, Andy Aspinwall and wife, Nancy of Patterson and Randy Aspinwall of Screven; one daughter, Cindy Brown and husband, Christopher of Jesup; one brother, Cecil Johnson and wife, Cheryl of Patterson; two sisters, Doris Thomas and husband, Daniel of Patterson and Betty Roberson of Patterson; grandchildren, Drew Aspinwall and wife, Nikki of Patterson, Jared Boatright and wife, Nicole of Screven, Ethan Boatright and wife, Katie of Patterson and Joseph Brown of Jesup and great grandchildren, Kallan and Beau Aspinwall, Morgan and Briley Boatright and Adalyn Kate Boatright. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members also survive.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Howard & Jones Funeral Home in Jesup with Dr. Brad Ellington, Rev. Ron Wilcox and Durwood Miller officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

Interment will follow in Screven City Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be family.
