Jerry Wayne Holloway, 63, died Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at home under the care of Heartland Hospice after a long illness.

 Jerry was born on November 4, 1949 in Alma, Georgia to the late M.C. “Mac” and Beatrice Hollaway.  He moved to Brunswick at an early age and was a graduate of Glynn Academy’s Class of 1968.  Jerry loved his country and served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War where he attained the rank of Sergeant.  He enjoyed Martial Arts and was awarded a second degree black belt.  Jerry retired from Brunswick Pulp and Paper as a pipe fitter and had also worked as a jailor.   He loved motorcycles, but his true passion was shooting and collecting guns of all types.  Jerry was a founding member of the Coastal Georgia Gun Club and attended services at the Darien Church of God.

 He is survived by his wife,  Annie Holloway of Brunswick; two sons, Brad Holloway and Mike Middleton (Chanda) both of Brunswick; three daughters, Debra Stokes (John) of Brunswick, Linda Johnson (Dennis) of Chester, Georgia and Kathy Shattuck of Brunswick; one brother, Mike Holloway (Debbie) of Hortense, Georgia and eight grandchildren, Chyenne, Macayle, David, Brandon, Amber, Jared, Dustin and Carson.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Darien Church of God, 1140 Blount Crossing Road, Darien, GA 31305.
