Gerald Anne Love Obituary

Gerald Anne Love, 58, passed away on Friday, October 12, 2012, at her residence.

She was born on July 18, 1954 in Hayesville, NC to Howard G. and Clemmie A. Henson. Anne spent her early years in the Marion, NC area and was awarded the honor of serving as Valedictorian of the Glenwood High School Class of 1972. Her awards for academic achievement were numerous and she was given a full scholarship to Warren Wilson College. In 1986 Anne relocated to the Southeast Georgia area, living in the Glennville, Richmond Hill and Hinesville areas before settling in Odum about twelve years ago. She spent many years working for Parker’s Stores and owned and operated her own business, Loves Land and Title, for many years. Anne was a proud and loving Daughter, Sister, Mother, Wife and Grandmother who never met a stranger and was blessed with a very big and generous heart. In her spare time she loved sewing, quilting, canning, reading, gardening and cooking. Anne was quite the talker and will always be remembered for the way she kept the family laughing when they were all together.

She is survived by two daughters, Tammy Renee Kicklighter and husband, Brad of Antioch, TN and Heather Tipton of Odum; seven brothers and sisters and their spouses, Linda and Doug Miller of Bakersville, NC, Charlie Henson of Marion, NC, Herman and Sheila Henson of Marion, NC, Peggy and Carl Curnutte of Pleasant Gardens, NC, Phyllis Kazee of Allenhurst, Edward Henson and Tim “Bubba” Henson both of Nebo, NC; two grandchildren, Tony Bradley of Odum and Elias Price of Antioch, TN and ex husband, Scott Tipton of Marion, NC. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 23, 2012, at Howard & Jones Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 23, 2012, in the James R. Gordon Memorial Chapel at Howard & Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Gabe Gill officiating.

Private interment will take place at a later date.
