Bonnie Beasley, 81, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Wayne Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
Bonnie was born on April 9, 1932 in Telfair County, Georgia and has lived in Jesup since 1962. She was a faithful member of the Jesup First Baptist Church for over fifty years where she attended the Dorcas Sunday School Class. A lifetime homemaker, Bonnie loved cooking and caring for her family. She was a former member of the Jesup Jaycettes and loved spending time with her grandchildren whom she truly loved. Her husband, Eddie Ray Beasley and her daughter, Pam Chappell preceded her in death.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Jennifer Beasley of Jesup; four grandchildren, Forrest Chappell of Jesup, Stuart Chappell of Brunswick, Courtney Chappell of Washington D.C. and Stevi Dixon and husband, Mike of Cumming, GA and three great grandchildren, Gunner, Colt and Gatlin Dixon.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 5, 2013 at Jesup First Baptist Church with Reverends Mike VonMoss and Felix Haynes officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Active pallbearers will be Jerry Keith, Steve Stipe, Bill Stipe, Stan Stipe, Scott Stipe and Nick Harris.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Dorcas Sunday School Class.
Private interment services will be at Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church "Finishing with Faith" fund, P.O. Box 1115, Jesup, GA 31598.
