Ronnie was born on July 22, 1961 in Amory, Mississippi to the late Ronald C. and Margaret S. Parmer. A former resident of Eufaula, Alabama and a resident of Jesup for the past seventeen years, Ronnie had worked as a flight instructor, driven trucks and operated restaurants thorough out his life. He was a die hard Alabama Football fan and was also a very talented musician who had traveled all over the country playing music. Ronnie was a member of Little Creek Baptist Church and also enjoyed playing golf and fixing things around the house. His greatest love was for his Grandchildren, who were “the light of his life.”
In addition to his parents, his sister, Teresa Parmer Eldridge preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of eighteen years, Fran Bennett Parmer of Jesup; step children and their spouses, Brent and Amanda Jacobs and Brandy Jacobs and Maurice Lambert all of Jesup; sister and brother-in-law, Patty and Ricky Bennet t of Jesup; brother and sister-in-law, Reggie and Gwen Parmer of Wacco, Texas and five grandchildren, Taylor and Cade Lambert and Brent, Daniel and Logan Jacobs. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members also survive.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Howard & Jones Funeral Home in Jesup.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Little Creek Baptist Church with Reverends Wayne Manning and Gerald “Rooster” Manning officiating.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Brent Jacobs, Brian Bennett, Seth Parmer, Maurice Lambert, Donald Brockington, and Billy Teston.
